VO lets you get the contents of a directory and write them to a file.
Well, actually, it can do a little more. For example, you might want to get a HTML file or just have everything written to a TXT file for copy'n'pasting it to another program. VO can do both and much more. It uses the Cheetah Template Engine1 to transform the raw data into virtually anything you can think of.
Modifications require very little effort and should not even pose a problem to people who have never programmed anything before. For more advanced variations to the creation of a completely new template the Cheetah Manual2 provides users with some basic programming experience with every piece of information they might need.

Anyways, everything that adds to the capabilities of VO should appear somewhere on the wiki3
VO wasn't created to make money. It is open-source and will always be. However, if you feel the project is worth supporting, donations are much appreciated.
This is a sample page listing the contents of the VO development directory, using the XHTML template and showing only files with the '.py' extension and using relative paths.
